BOB COYNE
Artist Bob Coyne has spent a career in advertising but has recently branched out and taken his creativity into the world of painting.
Bob’s paintings are inspired by his love of gardening and his many visits to the Art Institute, where he learned to appreciate the masters and noted their depictions of nature. In his own work, he draws special attention to the elements of line, texture and rhythm, often using a needle and other non-traditional tools to achieve very fine strokes and details with oil. What began as a hobby, has turned into a true passion. Raised in Des Plaines, Bob attended St. Zachary school and Forestview HS, before heading to Southern Illinois University to earn his degree in Communications for Radio & TV. He and his family now make their home in Bartlett. In his “day-job,” you'll find Bob at WGN/Nexstar, where he’s been a Senior Account Executive for Nexstar Media, Digital and WGN Radio for nearly 25 years.
